Recovery Solutions

Mecklenburg Open Door, Inc. currently serves 14 residents in our Recovery Solutions program. As a jail diversion program, Recovery Solutions works in close collaboration with mental health court and other officials to work through legal issues and criminal behavior.

What is Recovery Solutions? Recovery Solutions is a unique program that assists individuals on their mental wellness journey by providing individualized support in an effort to decrease repeat offenders, and manage behaviors that lead some to commit crimes, who then ultimately wind up in the criminal justice system.

How long can I stay at Recovery Solutions? The length of stay in our Recovery Solutions program varies anywhere from 90 days to 24 months depending on an individual’s unique needs.

Who is eligible? The program is open to adults who have a primary Mental Health diagnosis, who receive Community Support Services in Mecklenburg County and who are also referred by Mental Health Court, the Sheriff’s Department, Public Defenders Office, District Attorney’s Office, Drug Court, Mental Health Jail Liaison, and/or Pre-trial Release Program.

Hours of service and locations: Recovery Solutions is located at Charlottetown Manor in east Charlotte and is staffed on a 24 hour basis. Unless a consumer is away from the facility on Therapeutic Leave, hospitalized, or in-patient treatment, they receive daily contact from residential staff.
